Dr. John Masko, MD, a retired child and adult psychiatrist, was raised and attended Catholic primary and high school in upstate New York. He received his medical training at Albany Medical College, The University of Pennsylvania Hospital and New England Medical Center. Over 20 years ago, inspired by and curious about the spiritual beauty and mystery of a group of Cistercian Sisters cloistered in Wrentham, Massachusetts, he approached the Mother Superior to request a series of interviews with the Sisters. He has lived in the Boston area and Rhode Island with his wife and sons for almost 40 years. Dr. Masko has an abiding interest in Shakespeare, Milton and exquisite cocktails. He asserts that he has designed the ultimate Manhattan.
